wow

this semester is slipping past me. two weeks till mid term...hard for me to believe. i have been extremely busy with a little something called 'macbeth'. that's right, i was in a play. murderer 2/ young siward. that's me standing with murder 1, spike thrasher, who also wins the award for coolest name...ever.

my parents even came from california to watch. how nice! well...i think they wanted to see amanda too, but hey, i'm stoked they came.
i have been so exhausted lately. plays are draining! im glad to have more free time. i need to refocus on school so i can graduate in may. in all honesty, i am not ready to leave college. frankly i do not know what i'm doing with my life yet. i wanted to go a film school in los angeles, but i'm not sure if it's in the cards right now.
my friend david just walked in...he ate over 10 taco bell bean burritos in under 48 hours...i'm so proud of him. in other news, it snowed over the weekend...10 inches...dang it...i'm so over winter.
basically, im in a sad mood. i need a vacation, or a job offer, or maybe just a good nights sleep.
peace in the east.

no-time-for-blog-november

i noticed i completely skipped out on blogging in the month of november. it goes along great with no-shave november. which i also happened to participate in...i did shave the first week of november however...i'm a cheater.
here's my mug and steven throing the horns.

well thanksgiving was really cool i went to the ATL with steven to my friend Brooke's house. the Harp family is RAD! good times.
pretty atlanta at night. feels all christmasy.

well now im in the midst of finals week. and i leave back home to california on saturday. i can almost taste the in-n-out burger, cactus cooler, and chile verde burritos i've been missing out on for the past 5 months. can't wait!
oh and of course i can't wait to see the fam. don't think i like you second or anything.
on a sad note my dog died over thankgiving break. i loved matilda. she couldn't do tricks.but she was pretty good at fighting me. she was really loyal. good at listening. man i will miss her. but that is life i suppose...

my parents aren't one for a grieving period. they bought a new dauchshund named greta... i will have to get to know this one before i make a judgement call, but i have to say it is a black and red colored one. my parents always got red ones...im not dog racist or anything...but this is different for me. oh well, i guess it's just a sign of the times.
here's the pup.

well i have to also mention that last saturday we had our first rugby game. freed-hardeman versus harding. we lost 16-5. but we defineitly put up a fight. the second half they didn't score and we maintained good position on their half of the field. they called us the "scrappiest" team they had ever played...awesome.
david getting things done.

ben hitting em high.

me doing what i do best...getting tackled

the team sporting the drank shirts.

well, from what i understand we are going to continue rugby next semester and get a few more games. and of course the rematch game against harding.
train hard over christmas break...i plan on it

the dirty cleveland

well hi,
it's been awhile...i hate creed...anyways
i am currently looking out my fifth story window at the hotel i'm staying at in "gorgeous" cleveland. this is my first time in ohio. cleveland is cool looking. a lot of old tall buildings, a lot of old statues, a lot of rock n' roll, kinda dirty, but i like it.

the founder of cleveland getting crapped on.

the plane ride was shorter than the van ride to the airport. ha, sad.
the subway ride was fun. titus got a free accidental lap dance from a handicapped guy. lucky. we got to the hotel then had lunch at a local pizza place where me and my friend brad purchased the "Pepperoni Extreme" pizza. it took an extremely long time to get it, but it was extremely good.
my hotel.

my hotel's elevator. find the 13th floor...

there's a lot of funny people in cleveland. they always seem to be joking. i saw a bum today with a sign that said "UFO took my family. Need $ for space ship ride". I laughed. then he said "All I want is to make people laugh. I need 1.25 for that Colt .45" I laughed again. I had no cash. tought luck bum.
i saw lake erie today. i had never been to a great lake. it wasn't that great.

but I did check out some stuff in the rock n' roll hall of fame lobby. rad.

one of kurt cobain's axes.

jerry garcia's

johnny's

some sun finally

me on a huge 'free' stamp.

tonight me and the field trip boys watched quarantine. it was my second time watching it. still made me jump at times. cool. then after the movie another cleveland native made me laugh as he tried to explain to us how you should always shoot a person in the head or crotch...or in the knee caps. "cuz then he can't run at you". he also talked about how much ammo he had to shoot zombies/rabies infected people. awesome. i feel safer.

well, big day tomorrow. the nationalbroadcastingsocietyregionalconvention starts. i better rest up. i'm meeting the producer of sling blade. jealous? probably.

bbq=pork

it is another weekend. i am sitting in my dorm's game room watching saw4 on our 50 inch vizio high definition tv. cool picture, too bad i hate the saw series. not because it's "too scary" or whatever...because it's just so dumb. my friends like saw. i sure don't. i love most scary movies. they are fun. but saw is just straight retarded. saw 5 is coming out. are you serious? just stop, please.
last weekend i took my friend steven to waffle house. he had never been. poor california kid.

this weekend the boys and i went to red robin. they have great burgers. tristan had never been to red robin. poor tristan.i wish i had a pic. sadly i don't.
thanks to jessica, rugby pics are in however. i know you've been dying to see them.
the team.

tristan taking down david.

me about to get tackled.

david with some crazy hair and tackling skill.

my friend brandon tore his minicus playing. poor brandon. it did give him time to create a rugby site for the team however. cool deal.
the team is currently trying to get sponsors and games set up. a sponsor from these guys might happen. fingers are crossed. it's been pretty exciting to see this sport take over our campus. last thursday we had more guys practicing then i've ever seen. awesome.
today we went to the chester country bar-be-que festival. bar-be-que what, you might ask? pork.
in the south, bbq is always pulled pork. what about bbq chicken and bbq steak? i don't know what they call that. but bbq is always pulled pork around the south. wierd.
i managed to do pretty much nothing but eat today. oh, i did get a five minute massage at a booth at the festival. a dollar a minute. i paid only three dollars. sucker. or maybe she liked me. i don't know...
well, regardless, i do need to get r and r this weekend, because rugby takes a lot out of me, and we have practice on monday.
blog readers of the week: keely and emma. you're welcome.

rocktherobe

what is up?
it has been a couple days and i have been super busy or super tired. either way, it's pretty super. yesterday i had a test, rugby practice, a meeting, and two softball games, so i was definitely ready to chill today.
i have to tell you that david is taking over craigslist personal ads right now. brandon just told me dave is being pursued by two more ladies, making the count 8 to 6 in favor of the girls. man, they must read my blog.
on tuesday, the school had an event called "coffeehouse". normally, they get an acoustic set, and on occasion a real band, cough albe5000 cough, excuse me, to come and play. this time they had a rock band competion. you've probably heard of the game. you might have even played it. well i was asked to participate and be in a band that plays the fake instruments and all. of course we had to play on expert. i am no expert player. but neither is steven when it comes to drums. boy, we rocked...the first 23% of the song. oh well...here are some pics.

ben, steven and myself, pre show

me struggling to play fake bass

ben throwing down on the lead vocals

me and lambo...boy is he scary here. (the last 3 photos courtesy of jessica phillips)

in other news, my friend seth bought a bath robe he referred to as a "hugh hefner" robe.

all my other friends got a little jealous. i mean, not only is seth comfortable, he's super stylish. wouldn't you agree?
so tonight all of us bought robes. and boy do we look good.

here is kyle modeling his "holiday inn express"

here is tristan sporting "granny"

here is steven looking flashy in "papa smurf"

ben in a kimono. he insisted it wasn't a bath robe.

me in "georgia"...as in georgia peach. get it? cool.
david wasn't wearing his robe during the time of the photo shoot, but he looks nice in one i'd label "braveheart". yes, some sweet, sweet plaid is abounding on his robe. we went out on the town, and ate some dinner at one of our favorite new restaurants 'the village eatery'. here we are looking a bit last supper-ish.

man, were we comfortable. i mean we ARE comfortable. we are all still wearing them. we capped off the evening with our new favorite beverage called drank (the anti-energy drink) and the movie green street hooligans.
yesterday, my friend jessica wise took pictures of all the boys at rugby practice. ill get some of those up as soon as i get them. i know they will look phenomenal and you will be blown away by how scary we all look...maybe. look out harding. we are getting better.

walkers, rugby, and magicians

i have to tell you right now, i have a new favorite sport. today, about 30 strapping young lads met together for some good ole fashion rugby. i might add that we were mainly american kids, except for the jamaicans and coach ben lambert, so we basically had no idea what we were doing. we were bred on the forward passes of football. it was a little tricky for us to transition, but we were able to cope, and we weren't afraid to make a few hits. my friend landon got a sweet cut on his eye. i wish i had a pic. here is a pic of these dumb, wierd lines on my arm, bruises tho.

it was a wicked awesome time. im looking forward to playing like this guy eventually.

yesterday, i had mexican food with the sis and some friends for lunch. we went to los portales in jackson, tennessee. normally i bash all non-californian mexican food, but i have to say the fajitas i had there were pretty good. surprising, i know.
on the way back to school i saw a backpacker with a sign on his back that said: walkamerica. i assumed it was for some cause i didn't know about, with many walkers walking america. turns out it was just one dude that is getting americans to write in his book that he is giving to the next president of the U.S. my friend scott happened to be in jackson yesterday too. he also happened to see him. he recognized him and asked him to stay in our dorm for the night. the walker said ok. he hung out for a while, but then got kicked out of the dorm at 1:30 am by the dean. apparently we can't invite so called "strangers" to stay the night in the dorms. i did have time to write a lengthy note to the future president, and get a picture with the uber-tan walker man. he said i stepped it up a notch with what i wrote in his book. sweet.

my friend ben decided to not write in the walker's book, but instead spray water in the hallway. here is a pic of that.

cool.

well tonight, the kids at freed-hardeman university got to see a magician. i take that back...an illusionist. his name is jason bishop. it was pretty cool. he made lots of good jokes, and did quite a few cool things, but one trick in particular blew my mind. he made an empty soda can fill with soda, and he managed to seal the lid first. he then cracked it open and poured a glass. rad. anyways, look for my friend micah's review in The Bell Tower school paper. i believe he will quote me. i was illusion-ed. way to go freed-hardeman. thanks for having a cool event.

i just turned off the tv because my roomate josh needs his beauty sleep. but i was watching batman and robin. yes, yes, the suckiest of all batman movies i know, but has your governor ever been mr. freeze? didn't think so. thanks arnold.

bad friday, better weekend.

hi there,
boy was i mad earlier. well this weekend has been a whole, whole lot better. on friday evening my friend josh gave me a phone call. he said rally the troops and lets get some fine sushi at sakura. i said as long as i can be the pansy picky eater that i am and get teriyaki instead. per request i am including more pictures in my blog. here is josh on the left.

he may look mad, but i assure you he is not. that boy loves sushi. kyle also likes sushi. here is his fine cuisine.

for some reason all the boys that went fell asleep on the way there. we did listen to some sublime. it was a warm afternoon. maybe that did it. regardless, i took pictures from the driver seat of all the sleepiness.

here is steven. ha, so peaceful. brandon is on the left about to doze off.

here is tristan. riding shotgun. sadly, i had to wake him up in order for him to navigate me to sakura. i've been there many times and i still can't remember the way.

kyle knocked out behind me. not a care in the world.

brandon joining the homies in dreamland. i was tempted to pull over on the 35 minute drive and snooze as well...not.

after shooting off some fireworks in the parking lot we headed back to school to watch some soccer. then saturday we got up and ate some breakfast. of course by breakfast i mean breakfast for lunch. of course by breakfast for lunch i mean breakfast for almost dinnertime lunch. it was a 3:30 pm breakfast. we checked out the mall, then went back to school for more soccer. then food. ben likes his jeep.ben also claims west side. so we drove around and launched more fireworks. good times.
kyle likes jeeps too. he doesn't like camera flashes though. ben just asked me to mention the fact he drove up a hill in the jeep. he did. good job.
whats the opposite of christopher reeves?
christopher walken.
currently 'man on fire' is on the tv. i wish i could do a christopher walken impression, and be as smooth as denzel. those bros got skills. i want a new ipod.
